John is head of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Team. His work these days is heavily weighted towards professional negligence claims, primarily (but not exclusively) against other professional service providers, such as solicitors, architects etc. He has extensive experience of contractual and tortious claims and regularly advises clients involved in partnership, director and shareholder disputes.
John is a great believer in legal risk management and has lectured on the topic to clients of the firm to help minimise their risk of legal disputes. He has also lectured on director’s duties and liabilities to assist directors in client companies to understand the risks they face when acting in their capacity as directors.
John is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and is a director and trustee of The Hammond School, a privately run co-educational school specialising in vocational dance, music and drama
When he is not helping his clients or acting as a director, John likes nothing more than to jump on his road bike and pound the back lanes of West Cheshire and North Wales.
