Aaron & Partners are proud to be taking part in the World Coracle Championships 2016
25th August, 2016
The Championships will be held at Pengwern Boat Club, Shrewsbury SY3 7BD on the River Severn in Shrewsbury, on the afternoon of Friday 16th September 2016.
We are delighted to have a team fundraising and taking part in the Coracle Race once again in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Our Real Estate Partner, Trish Randles is on the Coracle Race Committee and said of the event: “We are full of fighting spirit, and even if we don’t end up the winners, we shall certainly have fun whilst raising awareness and vital funds for this worthwhile charity.”
The 2016 Aaron & Partners team is made up of:
Zoe Sherwin, Corporate & Commercial Trainee Solicitor
Ben Mason, Employment Law Associate
Bryony Cook, Dispute Resolution & Insolvency Solicitor
Katie Hughes-Beddows, Family Law Paralegal
The event will see the Aaron & Partners team, amongst others, paddle a traditional coracle boat – a small, lightweight boat propelled with a paddle, as fast as they can in a relay race across the River Severn, with the winners being crowned world champions! Each team member will have their own coracle to race in.
Team Captain Zoe Sherwin said: “We are hoping to beat our 2015 fundraising total of £368 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, as it is a very worthwhile cause which is close to many of our staff.”
The race takes place on 16th September and, as you can see from our team images of the 2015 Coracle Race, it is a fantastic day for all. We would love to have as much support as possible in our mission to become World Champions and support Macmillan!
