Aaron & Partners teams up with HSBC for business breakfasts
30th October, 2014
Aaron & Partners LLP and bank HSBC are putting regional business growth in North East Wales on the agenda with a series of free business breakfasts.
The first breakfast meeting, which took place at HSBC’s Ewloe office, focused on access to finance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Barry Millar, Area Commercial Director of HSBC, stressed the need for banks to help local businesses and de-mystify what they do and highlighted HSBC’s £100m SME fund for North East Wales. David Hanson, MP, outlined the importance of providing political support for all businesses in the region.
Askar Sheibani, CEO of Comtek Network Systems Group and Chairman of Deeside Industrial Park Forum, raised the role of corporate social responsibility in supporting new businesses with strong propositions but no assets, whether through funding or advice. Representing Flintshire County Council, Patricia Carlin of the Business Development Department highlighted key events in the regional business calendar.
Stuart Haynes, Partner in the Corporate team, said: “Our goal is to bring together key personalities in the business community to stimulate debate so that SMEs can help steer the economic agenda in the region. It was great to see so many people at our first business breakfast, which creates new opportunities for local business networking, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more new faces to future events.”
Places are limited for upcoming seminars; to pre-register your interest for Aaron & Partners’ next events with HSBC, which include the launch of the North Wales Export Club on 21 November at its next breakfast meeting, and a business breakfast on Training & Recruitment, contact [email protected].
