About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen in our busy growing I.T Team and we are looking for a Helpdesk Technician to join the team. This would be entry level position; the ideal candidate would have some experience of working within the IT industry or have experience of a technical apprenticeship. This person must have passion for new technologies and a desire to learn.
You would be joining a team of 3 in a rapidly changing environment, reporting directly to the IT Manager.
Day to day duties include the following:
- Answer the helpdesk telephone calls.
- Monitor helpdesk calls logged via TOPdesk.
- Troubleshoot user issues remotely and face to face.
- Assist with new starters and leavers – setting up equipment and eventually running inductions.
- Configure user endpoint devices (Laptops, iPhones).
- Immediately assist with a roll out of laptops to all staff.
Preferred experience of the following but not essential:
- Active directory administration.
- Hardware support and troubleshooting.
- Citrix administration.
- Office 365 administration.
- Teams Voice integration.
- 8X8 phone system administration.
- Azure AD experience.
You will have:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Keen to learn new systems and a general interest in technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid IT background and technical ability.
- Comfortable taking phone calls.
- Confident in new situations.

Hours of work & Benefits
This is a full-time position split between Chester and Shrewsbury i.e. 2 days per week in the Shrewsbury office and 3 in Chester.
