About the role

We are looking for an experienced immigration solicitor to join the Employment team.

Ideally you will have 6 years+ PQE and be able to work unsupervised, although there will be support from the wider team and Team Leader. You will have a commercial approach, be good at working to deadlines, and be able to demonstrate excellent file management and client care.

The role is based in the Employment team; however we are looking for someone who is at ease working across other disciplines, as we expect there to be opportunities for cross referral and support work with our Corporate & Commercial team as well as others.

You will be a confident person with excellent communication skills who is comfortable when dealing with clients; ensuring that each client receives an excellent level of service.

You will have the ability to manage your workload, handling a number of complex cases at any one time. You will also have an excellent eye for detail and the desire to get things right first time.

You will have a willingness and aptitude to get involved in the team/firm’s marketing and business development activities e.g. attending social and networking events.

Head of Department, Helen Watson is an experienced advocate and accredited mediator with extensive experience in all aspects of both contentious and non contentious employment law.

Hours of work & Benefits

This position can be based at either our Chester or Shrewsbury office. There would need to be the flexibility to work out of both offices as and when needed.

Ideally this position will be filled on a full time basis however we will consider applications from those who are looking for part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week).
