David Mann raises money for local charity

Litigation solicitor David Mann has raised just shy of £500 (£499.52) for leading sporting charity Everton in the Community by running a marathon.
He completed the marathon in 5hrs 26mins, raising much needed funds for this worthwhile charity.
David, who has a young family and a busy work life, found it difficult to fit in time to train for his first ever marathon, but despite this he donned his trainers and set off from Kings Dock, Liverpool, with over 500 other runners.
David said of his achievement: “I’ve been a fan of Everton all my life and I enjoy running so it seemed a perfect opportunity to do something I enjoy whilst raising money. The Everton Free School is funded by this charity and does amazing work with 14-19 year olds by offering an alternative educational opportunity.
“I have been overwhelmed by the number of donations from the friends and colleagues who sponsored me, and I thank them for their generosity.”
Everton in the Community is a leading sporting charity and delivers a range of programmes to promote health, education, social inclusion and equality of opportunity across Merseyside using the power of sport. It funds the Everton Free School, where students are encouraged to celebrate their achievements and develop as independent, responsible and creative young people with a lifelong interest in learning and self-development.
