New partner at Aaron and Partners LLP

29th August, 2010

Aaron & Parnters LLP, based in Chester and Manchester, has strengthened its family law expertise with the appointment of Richard Barge as partner.

A specialist divorce lawyer with 16 years’ experience, Mr Barge joins from FBC Manby Bowdler and will head up the family department at Aaron & Partners.

Mr Barge deals with all aspects of financial matters relating to divorce with a particular emphasis on those involving family businesses, pensions and assets located outside of the jurisdiction.

He has developed a niche area drafting and advising on pre-nuptial agreements for those individuals who wish to attempt to limit their financial exposure in the event of a future divorce.

Mr Barge has been involved in a number of notable cases, acting for a wife whose husband had interests in 46 separate companies trading in overseas locations such as Vietnam, South Africa and China, and for a former Premier League and international footballer in divorce and ancillary relief proceedings.

Mr Barge is a member of Resolution, a collaborative practitioner and accredited specialist in the region of Advanced Financial Provision.

Andy Duxbury, chief executive officer at Aaron & Partners, said: “We are delighted to have Richard on board and I am sure he will bring fresh ideas and further develop what is already a successful and highly-regarded department.”
