Karen is an experienced Paralegal within our Wills, Trusts & Tax team who assists the team on a variety of non-contentious matters.  


Background & Expertise 

Karen brings a diverse background to her legal career. Prior to joining Aaron & Partners, Karen gained valuable experience while employed at The Royal Bank of Scotland Trust and Estate Services, where she specialised in Probate work. 

In December 2014, Karen embraced a new chapter in her journey, joining Aaron & Partners as a Paralegal, becoming a member of the Wills Trusts & Tax team. 

Karen's primary focus is on assisting named Deputies and Attorneys in managing day-to-day administration tasks related to Deputyships and Powers of Attorney. 


Specialisations & Personal Achievements 

Karen takes on responsibilities related to trust administration, catering to both charitable and private clients. This diversity in her skill set allows her to contribute effectively to non-contentious matters across the Wills Trusts & Tax team. 

In her role as Paralegal, Karen assists high net worth private clients and charitable trusts. She has been involved in cases that require meticulous financial management on behalf of multiple clients, including handling bill payments, care fees, and fund releases as needed. 

Her compassionate and understanding approach with her clients enables her to navigate sensitive matters with care and efficiency and she has a thorough appreciation of the importance of tailoring legal advice and solutions to each unique situation. 


Recent Work Examples 

  • Assisted client with needed repairs to a mobility vehicle. 
  • Manages finances on behalf of multiple clients – paying bills, care fees, and releasing funds to the client when required. 
  • Submits annual bills to the court and makes annual reports to the Office of the Public Guardian.
