Jonathan trained and worked at two Top 50 law firms in Manchester, qualifying in 2016, before spending eight years working in Chester.

He has particular expertise in shareholder disputes and share purchase agreement disputes, restrictive covenant claims, and lending and guarantee disputes, acting for SMEs, business owners, private individuals, lenders, debt-purchasers, and high street banks and building societies in high-value and often complex matters.

- Acted for an international supplier of flooring to exhibition and events industries, in its multimillion-pound claim against a previous director and shareholder (and other companies) who allegedly diverted clients and business away and used confidential information in breach of contractual and fiduciary duties.
- Acting for the majority shareholders of a company that provides goods and services to domestic and international clients, in response to a complex unfair prejudice petition (s994 Companies Act 2006) brought in the High Court.
