Biography
Michael is an Associate Solicitor for the Employment team and provides advice on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Background and Expertise
Michael joined Aaron & Partners in August 2018 initially as a newly qualified Solicitor and has since been promoted to Associate Solicitor.
Michael graduated from Oxford University with an undergraduate degree in English Literature in 2001 and thereafter pursued a career as a professional actor. After a change of career, he achieved a distinction on the LPC from the College of Law.
Specialisms and Personal Achievements
Michael now provides practical and commercial advice on a wide range of matters including Employment Tribunal claims, TUPE transfers, individual and collective redundancies and employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
Michael has acted on behalf of insurers to HR managers and Managing Directors to employees. He has worked with clients in several sectors, including Transport and Logistics, Education, Healthcare and NHS and Professional Recruitment.
Michael also fosters expertise in issues relating to national minimum wage disputes and has a particular niche in acting for clients in the healthcare sector with matters involving professional regulatory bodies.
Whilst Michael demonstrates his technical abilities in dealing with the intricate and complex matters, he also looks at the bigger picture and understands what may affect his clients outside of the matter at hand from a commercial viewpoint. Michael takes a personable approach with his clients and treats each of their matters as if they were his own.
Michael maintains his interest in the arts as a Trustee for Theatre Porto in Ellesmere Port and often fundraises for various charities.

- Led a tribunal appeal against HMRC relating to Minimum Wage.
