What you will be doing
You will advise on a broad range of complex private client matters, including:
- Wills and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals
- Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning
- Trust creation, structuring and ongoing management
- Estate administration, including high-value and complex estates
- Asset protection and wealth preservation strategies
In addition, you will:
- Manage your own portfolio of high-value clients and matters
- Supervise, mentor and support junior members of the team
- Play a key role in maintaining and developing client and referrer relationships
- Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the Shrewsbury office

About you
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded private client lawyer with strong technical expertise and leadership capability.
You will:
- Have extensive experience in private client law
- Demonstrate a strong track record advising high-net-worth clients
- Be confident handling complex matters across wills, trusts, tax planning and estate administration
- Have experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- Be commercially aware, with a proactive approach to business development
- Be confident building and maintaining long-term client and referrer relationships
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and sound judgement

Recognised in both The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, our Wills, Trusts & Tax team specialises in protecting the assets and wealth of high-net-worth individuals through inheritance and capital gains tax planning, the creation and management of trusts and by the preparation of tax efficient wills.
You’ll be part of a high-performing team that works collaboratively and takes pride in delivering clear, thoughtful advice on complex personal matters.
