Entering into commercial arrangements within the UK
When doing business in the UK, you will inevitably need to enter into agreements with companies. These can range from framework agreements, supply agreements, purchase agreements, agency agreements, distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements licencing agreements and joint ventures, amongst others.
Normally, UK law will apply (as appropriate) and the UK courts will have jurisdiction over these contracts, but on some occasions you may want to negotiate a foreign law. We can assist in advising you on the implications of UK contracts.
In some circumstances you may need to produce a contract to which UK law applies and again we can advise and assist in the drafting of these agreements.
Advice in these areas is not only about the paper itself, but also about assisting in the strategy when embarking on business in the UK – such as the structure of your global distribution network or licensing network and we are here to help.
