We have recently been looking to expand our business and grow internally through the appointment of a senior member of staff. Having used the commercial services of Aaron & Partners in the past, we turned to Ben Mason for employment advice and he has recently reviewed our employment contracts, including that of our new senior hire. He is extremely efficient and gives us the protection and peace at mind needed with his tailored and commercially sound advice.
We have used Aaron & Partners for a number of years through their HR retainer. Ben Mason of their Employment Law team in Shrewsbury helps us with ad hoc advice when needed. Ben is always extremely helpful and timely in his response. He will take on-board the situation or problem and respond promptly with a variety of well constructed options in order to achieve an effective and commercially balanced outcome.
I was recently advised by Ben Mason when I was offered a settlement agreement from my previous employer at short notice. Ben reacted quickly to address the situation and evaluate the package offered to me, then negotiated a substantially higher settlement figure with my employer. His guidance and ability to help steer my decision making and challenge my expectations of what I was entitled to showed he was clearly knowledgeable and fully grasped the situation. His professional approach calmly guided me to a substantially.
We have worked closely with Aaron & Partners for a number of years through their employment retainer product, HR Flexi. Ben Mason has been our main point of contact for employment advice and his exceptionally professional and responsive approach never leaves us waiting for a commercial and practical solution. He makes complex matters easy to understand and digest in layman’s terms and is a great help in guiding our decisions accordingly.
In my previous HR role I regularly attended Ben Mason’s bi-monthly HR lunch club events in which he demonstrated his clear knowledge on various employment issues. His ability to efficiently talk in a clear and pragmatic way highlighted to me that Ben is more than able to deal with difficult employment situations and identify appropriate potential solutions.
Ben always takes the time to listen and understand any problem raised, either at the bi-monthly lunch club events, in the group forum or afterwards on a one to one basis. He asks intelligent and appropriate questions and then gives constructive and commercially balanced advice. Having dealt with other members of the Aaron and Partners employment team in the past such as Helen Watson, they clearly share their knowledge and expertise across both offices and all show a genuine interest to help and resolve your problems.
Having been made redundant after 23 years of service, a connection of mine at Dyke Yaxley Accountants put me in contact with Ben Mason to help improve an unsatisfactory settlement agreement I was offered. Having assessed the situation, Ben was confident that the offer at hand needed to be heavily revised. Ben managed the entire process seamlessly for me, leading to a financially appropriate settlement figure given my period of service and all my legal costs were claimed from the other party as a result of his negotiations. I can only describe Ben’s service as faultless.
During my previous employment some serious, though incorrect, allegations were made against me. I was recommended to contact Ben Mason at Aaron & Partners to help guide me through this tough situation. With the facts at hand, he reviewed my case and weighed up the various outcomes, he was clear and concise in his suggestions and really helped me focus on the next steps. His advice and approach didn’t allow my emotions to get in the way of a result in my best interest, and with his guidance we achieved a positive outcome, allowing me to move on with my reputation intact.
I was referred to Ben Mason from a friend who strongly recommended him as an Employment Law solicitor based on a positive past experience using his services. I was in a senior role and was faced with a very difficult situation having raised a grievance due to bullying in the workplace. Ben was extremely helpful throughout my case –he helped me compile evidence and dealt directly with my employers who we found to be uncooperative throughout. Ben was proactive with his work in order to achieve a positive result for me. The conduct of Ben and the team behind him can only be described as completely professional, as they stuck to the facts; leading to a successful settlement agreement.
I was referred to Aaron & Partners at a point when I had no idea how to manage a very difficult work situation. Ben Mason in the Employment Law team took up my case and was a constant, reliable and knowledgeable advisor over the few months it took to get things resolved. Dealing with this situation was much more difficult than I had ever imagined. I was in a very senior role, with outstanding evaluations and a record of innovation. Within six months, during which time I was dealing with the diagnosis and disclosure of a disability, I became “a problem”. I was anxious and uncertain, very unsure about how to manage the situation and dealing with people who were trying to damage me.
Ben was ideal in that situation. He is a strong and experienced advocate, and he also knows how to listen. He quickly makes you feel that you have someone on your side. He carefully addresses each question, even the naive ones, and helps you achieve the calm, cool determination that is the key to being successful, especially in these circumstances. I left with my reputation intact, my confidence restored and the settlement I wanted.
You never think this will happen to you, because most of us think this only happens to bad people or incompetent people. In my experience, it happens more often to good and competent people who have no reason to expect it. That makes it even more important to find someone who can help you get through it. Certainly, I would recommend Ben and Aaron & Partners without any hesitation.
