Aaron & Partners Wins Top Fundraiser Prize from Chester Zoo
20th February, 2015
Aaron & Partners has won Chester Zoo’s ‘Top Fundraiser’ prize by raising over £530 for the zoo’s ‘Go Orange for Orangutans’ campaign.
Aaron & Partners asked firms and individuals to help build a ‘virtual’ tree to help the zoo reach its target of £15,000 and were delighted with the response. Chester Zoo exceeded its target by £5,000, enabling 2,000 trees to be planted in the Bornean forest for orangutans in the wild.
Staff at Aaron & Partners added to the funds, raising over £120 by having a Go Orange Cake Bake and an Orange dress down day.
On hearing Aaron & Partners were planning to support Chester Zoo’s campaign for a second year, development manager, Melanie Cowieson, said: “It is fantastic to have Aaron & Partners on board for our 2014 Go Orange for Orangutans campaign. They were so helpful to us last year and we were delighted when they offered to get behind us with such enthusiasm again. It is a real boost to our fundraising effort.
“Aaron & Partners is a well respected firm so we have our fingers tightly crossed that as many companies as possible will help them breathe life into their fabulous ‘virtual’ forest.”
Scott Hadden, Head of Marketing at Aaron & Partners and the brains behind the virtual tree idea, said: “I am thrilled that we are the top fundraiser this year for this excellent campaign. We always do our best to support the zoo and to know that it makes such a different to their work makes it really rewarding.”
