The opportunity

Our finance team plays a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the firm, ensuring accuracy, compliance and consistency across all financial processes.

You will join the firm as a Legal Cashier / Accounts Assistant on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an opportunity to take on a varied and hands-on role, supporting day-to-day cashiering and accounts activities within a professional and collaborative environment.

You will work closely with colleagues across the finance team, contributing to the delivery of an efficient and reliable service, while also providing cover and support where needed.

This role will suit someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working in a structured environment, and is confident managing their responsibilities independently while remaining part of a wider team.

What you will be doing

You will support a range of legal cashiering and accounts activities, including:

  • Supporting daily legal cashiering tasks, ensuring compliance and accuracy across transactions
  • Providing holiday cover for the cashiering team to maintain continuity
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, including input, coding, scanning and reconciliation
  • Preparing weekly payment runs and liaising with suppliers where required
  • Managing expense processing and company credit card transactions
  • Assisting with a variety of ad hoc accounts duties to support the wider team

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident in handling financial processes within a professional environment.

You will:

  • Have experience or exposure to legal cashiering or finance support
  • Demonstrate strong numeracy skills and a high level of accuracy
  • Be proactive and able to work independently while remaining collaborative
  • Be professional and confident when dealing with internal and external contacts
  • Have excellent communication skills and a clear, organised approach
  • Be confident using IT systems, including Excel
