Background & Expertise 

Melissa qualified as a Solicitor in March 2024 and joined Aaron & Partners in June 2025. 

She holds a Law degree from Newcastle University and went on to complete her LPC and MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law. 

Before joining Aaron & Partners, Melissa worked at firms based in Chester and Liverpool, where she gained experience advising on both business and private client employment law matters. 

Melissa specialises in employment law for both businesses and individuals, with a particular focus on corporate and commercial SME clients. She advises on a broad range of issues including capability, disciplinary matters, family rights, worker status, restrictive covenants, unfair and constructive dismissal, and discrimination. She has a keen interest in maternity rights and other family-related employment law issues. 

 

Specialisations & Personal Achievements 

Melissa supports both employers and employees across all aspects of employment law, whether contentious or non-contentious. 

Her day-to-day work includes handling new enquiries, drafting contracts and policies, advising on settlement agreements, and providing guidance on a wide variety of employment-related concerns. 

Known for being friendly and approachable, Melissa is also highly responsive—never sitting on her clients’ matters. She is committed to delivering clear, honest, and timely advice, cutting through legal jargon to offer practical support. 

Melissa is always mindful of her clients’ commercial objectives and ensures her advice is aligned with their business needs. 

She is passionate about keeping clients informed on employment law developments and regularly delivers training sessions to help them stay up to date. 

Melissa is also a Director of the Merseyside Young Professionals, an organisation that hosts events across Merseyside for like-minded young professionals to connect, collaborate, and grow their networks.
