Mercedes is a Solicitor in our Restructuring and Insolvency team.
Background & Expertise
Mercedes completed her LLB in the Cayman Islands in 2018 before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2020. She began her training contract in September 2023 and qualified as a Solicitor at Aaron & Partners in 2025.
Mercedes originally joined the firm in 2022 as a Paralegal in the Real Estate team, where she gained extensive experience in property-related matters. She now practises as a Solicitor within the Restructuring and Insolvency team.
Mercedes regularly works with insolvency practitioners, financial institutions and directors of companies of varying size and complexity, advising on both contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters. She has particular experience in corporate recovery, restructuring and insolvency, distressed real estate and sales of land.
Specialisations and Personal Achievements
As a Trainee, Mercedes was part of the team who successfully represented DELTA in the DELTA Merseyside Limited & Anor v Uber Britannia Limited case at Supreme Court. Her involvement saw her attending court hearings, liaising with opposing parties, and preparing important legal documents, providing vital support for the team.
Known for her perseverance and focus, Mercedes combines strong problem-solving skills with determination to identify practical and achievable outcomes in challenging situations.
