Biography
Paul provides pragmatic and commercial Employment Law and HR advice, getting to know his clients personally and focusing on their key objectives to achieve results.
Paul is an experienced Employment Tribunal litigator, dealing with claims for unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, discrimination, sexual harassment and protective award claims. Acting for both Claimants and Respondents over the years has given Paul a real understanding of both sides of the legal arguments.
Examples of Tribunal cases in which Paul has been involved include:
- Greensill Capital Protective Award Claim – headed up the legal team in securing judgment for 277 Claimants who were dismissed with immediate effect by Greensill Capital Management (UK) Limited.
- Colin McGuinness v Sovini Property Services Limited – successfully defending a claim for unfair dismissal relating to the totting up of disciplinary warnings.
Paul is very experienced in negotiating settlement agreements for employees, often offering a speedy turnaround for clients.
Paul has a real understanding of the day to day problems which can arise in the workplace and provides advice in concise and approachable manner. He regularly presents seminars and training talks on HR issues in an informal and relatable style.
Paul is one of the lead solicitors heading up Aaron and Partners Wirral Project and focuses a lot of his work in the Wirral and surrounding areas.
In his spare time Paul enjoys playing golf at Heswall and is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club. He also visits Spain as often as he can.
