About Stuart Haynes

Stuart joined Aaron & Partners in April 2014 as a partner in the Corporate and Commercial team.

He has a wide range of experience in many areas of law, having previously practised as a criminal lawyer, an employment lawyer and a commercial property lawyer. He has specialised in corporate transactional work, intellectual property, commercial contract and international trade work for the last 15 years.

Stuart has a practical approach to his role and looks for answers rather than questions. He consistently works with clients in order to understand their business and place himself in the best position to give focused advice as and when necessary.

He has worked on many successful new-start ventures advising on issues such as intellectual property licensing and structuring. He has also advised on the finance required to take a new product to market and the on-going potential international exploitation of those products.

Stuart’s international experience has been gained through acting for numerous foreign subsidiaries within the UK and the inward investment initiatives to attract foreign corporates to the UK. He has been a member of the Integrated Advisory Group International (IAG) for 18 years and has an extensive and strong international network of lawyers who he has worked with throughout the world. As a result, he has widely travelled, experiencing issues that can arise in different jurisdictions.

During an extremely time sensitive period, we instructed Stuart Haynes to asses and action a loan agreement between ourselves and our local council for a large and crucial sum of money. Our main railway line and infrastructure suffered severe flood damage over the Christmas period, which had a potentially serious commercial impact, if not addressed immediately. Stuart promptly set about reviewing and actioning our instruction, so much so that he worked out of hours over the Christmas period, which enabled the funds to be pulled down quicker than anticipated, given the usual complexity of these situations. This knock on effect allowed crucial maintenance to take place to fix the damage. Without the effective and tireless efforts of Stuart, we could have been in a much more serious position.
