Aaron & Partners receives top reviews in prestigious Chambers UK 2013

22nd November, 2012

Leading law firm Aaron & Partners has received top reviews in the prestigious Chambers UK 2013 rankings, maintaining its position as a leader in legal services with seven of its lawyers achieving the highest rating possible.

Lawyers at Aaron & Partners who all achieved top rating include Simon Ellis, head of charity law; Richard Barge, head of family law; David Kerfoot, head of planning and environmental; Simon Carter, planning consultant; Tim Culpin, head of transport law; John Devoy, head of litigation and licensing consultant Barry Holland. Several lawyers have moved up the rankings from last year including Tim Culpin whose rating has risen to band 1 from 2 in 2012; Richard Barge whose rating has increased from band 3 in 2012 to band 1 whilst David Kerfoot and Simon Carter have both risen from band 2 to band 1.

Since 1990 Chambers has published the world’s leading guides to the legal profession and has built a reputation for in-depth, objective research delivered by a team of 100 researchers who conduct thousands of interviews with lawyers and their clients to ascertain the leading solicitors in specific areas of law.

Aaron & Partners chief executive Andy Duxbury said: “To receive top rankings in Chambers and Partners, such a well-respected guide, is a tremendous accolade, particularly coming so soon after our success in the Legal 500 directory. “This latest achievement is testament to the hard work of everyone at Aaron & Partners. It’s rewarding to know that our dedication to getting excellent results for our clients has been so publicly recognised.”

The top ratings come as Aaron & Partners announce the appointment of Jamie Hawley, who will take up the post of Assistant Solicitor in Special Situations. Jamie, 30, from Manchester, was ranked by Chambers as ‘one to watch,’ and at his previous firm he advised clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. The solicitor, who joins Aaron & Partners from Carlisle-based corporate boutique Baines Wilson LLP, has previously worked with a leading French nuclear engineering company, advising on the acquisition of its UK subsidiaries and a professional football club where he advised them on copyright issues.

Aaron & Partners, based in Chester, works for businesses, public authorities, charities and individuals. It specialises in company and commercial law, commercial property law, dispute resolution and employment law, as well as matrimonial and wills, trusts and tax work. In addition it provides specialist services such as planning, environmental, minerals and waste, renewable energy, road haulage and warehousing, and insolvency & restructuring advice.
