About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a Solicitor to join our Legal 500-ranked Dispute Resolution team in our Shrewsbury Office.
We are looking for candidates who are newly qualified to two years’ PQE solicitors and who are looking to build a long-term career specialising in commercial dispute resolution, working on a broad range of high-quality matters with the support of an experienced team
Duties will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial dispute resolution matters under supervision, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, debt recovery and property litigation.
- Assisting senior solicitors and partners on complex and high value commercial litigation and property litigation.
- Building effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and external providers.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge on issues within commercial and property dispute resolution, working collaboratively with colleagues across the whole team to share knowledge.
- Contributing to business development including attending networking events and preparing articles.
Requirements
Ideally you will have commercial dispute resolution experience. For NQ’s whilst this is advantageous, but not essential but we’d expect at least one seat in your training being litigation.
You will be a confident and personable individual with excellent communication skills who is at ease when dealing with colleagues, third parties and clients.
You will have a strong client-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
You will have the ability to manage your workload effectively, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
You will also have excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to providing accurate, high-quality work.
You will have a willingness and aptitude to get involved in the team’s and firm’s marketing and business development activities including attending networking and social events.
You will have a positive, collaborative attitude and a desire to develop your skills and career within commercial dispute resolution.

Hours of Work & Benefits
This is a Full-time position based in our Shrewsbury office. Working hours are 09:00am to 05:30pm.
