Insolvency Partner Jan Chillery attends the JIEB graduation ceremony

Jan Chillery attended the JIEB graduation ceremony on Friday 16 June at Chartered Accountants’ Hall in Moorgate, home to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Jan passed all three insolvency exams in November 2016, qualifying her as an insolvency practitioner. At present Jan does not intend to take appointments but passing these exams shows her wide-ranging skills in this area. She advises office-holders such as liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy as well as those who have dealings with office-holders, such as creditors, directors, spouses and employees. The JIEB exams are usually taken by accountants and rarely taken by solicitors, and are recognised as very testing, needing high numeracy and strategic skills.

Helping creditors get the best recovery from an insolvency, guiding a business out of difficulty or advising different stakeholders is so rewarding.”
Jan is a full member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).
