What you will be doing
You will advise on a broad range of family matters, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial settlements and property arrangements
- Children matters and childcare issues
- Adoption
- Family mediation
You will also manage matters from instruction through to conclusion, providing clear, empathetic and commercially aware advice throughout.
In addition you'll have an aptitude for getting involved in the team / firm’s marketing and business development activities.

About you
We are looking for an experienced and confident solicitor who is comfortable handling a broad range of family matters.
You will:
- Have at least 5 years’ PQE in family law
- Have experience across divorce, financial matters, children issues and related work
- Be confident managing complex matters from start to finish
- Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills
- Be able to manage multiple cases effectively and work to deadlines
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
You will also be willing to contribute to business development and marketing activity where appropriate.

Led by Head of Family Law Simon Magner Mawdsley, who clients describe as an "excellent listener", "open and engaging", "reassuring" and "insightful", the family law team is recognised in both The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners,
The team advises on a wide range of matters, with particular strength in financial disputes and issues concerning children.
As part of a close-knit, high-performing team, you can expect to work collaboratively and take pride in delivering clear, practical advice on sensitive and often complex matters.
