About the role

We are looking for a Legal Cashier to join our Chester Accounts team.

General duties to include.

  • Diligently checking payment and receipt requisitions and then allocating Client Bank account transactions to our practice management system and setting up on the bank for payment.
  • Purchase Ledger processing to include the Input, coding, scanning, and processing of invoices, (and disbursements).
  • Preparation of weekly payment runs and dealing with suppliers as appropriate.
  • Processing of expenses and company credit card transactions
  • Handling searches including HMLR / HMCTS / Companies house etc.
  • Resolving ledger queries and sundry transaction requests.
  • Preparation of daily and monthly bank reconciliations.

Key Attributes

  • Positive self-starter who can work on own initiative.
  • Professional and courteous approach.
  • Ordered, process led approach.
  • Numerate with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deal with both internal and external relationships.
  • Proficient IT / Excel skills
  • Previous Legal Cashier experience would be a distinct advantage.

Hours of work & Benefits

This role is based in our Chester office. We are looking for someone to fulfil this role on a full-time basis, however part time hours would be considered for the right candidate.
