Aaron & Partners’ Corporate Team advised Manchester-headquartered business document sharing platform edocr.com, which has been snapped up by a Florida-based company.
Stuart Scott-Goldstone, Partner and Head of the Corporate Team, advised Manoj Ranaweera, who set up edocr.com in 2007, over the sale of the business and substantially all of its assets in its acquisition of Accusoft, a document, content and imaging services provider, for an undisclosed sum.
Stuart Scott-Goldstone said: “We are delighted to have acted for Manoj Ranaweera and edocr on its acquisition of Accusoft. The growth of the company is testament to the hard work and innovative thinking of Manoj over the last eight years. I am sure under the new leadership the business will continue to go from strength to strength.”
edocr.com is used by thousands of professionals and companies to publish marketing, sales, operations, customer service and financial documents.
Ranaweera said: “Since founding edocr in 2007, edocr’s mission has been to find new and exciting ways to provide maximum return for documents which could be shared publicly.
“We achieved this via not just creating a destination site loved by professionals and businesses from 200+ countries, but extending the functionality into many partner solutions from CRM, customer support to marketing automation. We are very excited to join forces with Accusoft and take edocr to the next stage.”
Jack Berlin, chief executive of Accusoft, said: “edocr provides Accusoft with a wealth of information and resources for a customer base that’s largely made up of small businesses.
“Accusoft plans to make edocr free for use and offer Accusoft Cloud Services as a part of edocr products. edocr business users can not only use the existing features of edocr, but also in future will be able to use the integrated Accusoft cloud products as part of their document workflow.”
Michael Jayson of Crowe Clark Whitehill advised Mr Ranaweera on financial matters.
