Aaron & Partners attends Integrated Advisory Group International
27th October, 2014
Aaron & Partners attended the 25th general assembly of the Integrated Advisory Group (IAG) International from 9th to 12th October 2014.
Corporate Partners Stuart Haynes, Stuart Scott-Goldstone and Renewables Partner David Harries represented Aaron & Partners at the meeting in Gran Canaria.
Thirty four firms were represented at the meeting from 21 countries, ranging from the UK through to Australia. Two new firms attended as observers, one from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and one from Hamburg.
The main business meeting was held on Friday the 10 October 2014.
There were discussion groups with regards to international transactional work.
Other points of interest were the introduction of a seminar club for members with the objective of putting together a series of seminars that could be delivered at a member’s premises for the benefit of their clients and introducers.
A guest presentation was given by the President of the ZEK Consortium. This is the consortium of the Canary Islands’ special tax zone.
A further presentation was given by a lawyer resident in Shanghai, China, who outlined some of the positives and negatives of working in China.
The group is currently in the process of an expansion programme within the Pacific Rim. An update was given as to the recruitment of new members in that area by the Sydney representative.
It is hoped that the next meeting will be held in Hong Kong and that up to eight new members will be ratified into the organisation from various countries around the Pacific Rim.
